Kenny Schuyler

Two Elements

April 5 - May 18

Kenny Schuyler’s work on exhibit at Speakeasy Art Gallery through May 18, features two sculptural elements, steel and stone. Kenny's work explores how creating stone sculptures require removing the element, while making steel sculpture is an additive process. He says "Working with both helps make me feel I’m not limited by stone or overwhelmed with by the endless possibilities of steel.”

His steel sculptures utilize reclaimed steel. Choosing pieces of old steel that hold a visually interesting story and can tell a story. While his stone sculptures tend to be elegant studies of form often in Brazilian soapstone.

Kenny Schuyler is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in NYC and a lifetime New Jersey resident where he currently lives and works.
